Approved wording. Not yet published or effective.

Proposed effective date: July 23, 2026

Cage Rivals is built for competitive UFC picks, league rivalries, playful score-based trash talk, and respectful community. These Guidelines apply to profiles, avatars, league names and descriptions, league chat, direct messages, reactions, feedback, reports, and other content or behavior on Cage Rivals.

By creating or posting content, you agree to these Guidelines and the Terms of Use. They apply to everyone age 13 and older. Adults must not exploit, pressure, or target teens, and no user may use Cage Rivals to facilitate unsafe offline contact.

Keep competition about the game

You may criticize a pick, score, matchup result, ranking, or in-app performance. Playful rivalry is welcome when it stays about Cage Rivals and stops when it becomes targeted abuse. Do not attack a person's identity, appearance, intelligence, disability, family, private life, or real-world character.

Prohibited content and behavior

Do not post, send, encourage, or coordinate:

  • Threats, celebration of real-world harm, instructions for violence, stalking, extortion, blackmail, or targeted intimidation.
  • Harassment, bullying, dogpiling, humiliation, unwanted sexual attention, or repeated contact after a person asks you to stop or blocks you.
  • Hate or dehumanization based on race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, sex, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, serious medical condition, age, caste, or another protected characteristic.
  • Child sexual abuse material, sexualization or exploitation of minors, grooming, requests for sexual images, or attempts to move a minor into secret or unsafe contact. We may report suspected child exploitation to the appropriate authorities as required by law.
  • Pornography, explicit sexual content, non-consensual intimate imagery, sexual services, or graphic fetish content.
  • Instructions, encouragement, or graphic depictions of suicide or self-harm. Supportive discussion and help-seeking are allowed; immediate danger should be reported to local emergency services.
  • Doxxing or sharing another person's private information, credentials, precise location, private messages, financial information, or identifying documents without permission.
  • Impersonation, fraud, phishing, scams, deceptive links, malware, credential theft, or manipulating another user into revealing sensitive information.
  • Illegal goods or services, instructions to commit serious wrongdoing, or content that violates another person's intellectual-property, privacy, or publicity rights.
  • Spam, repetitive promotion, unwanted solicitation, mass invitations, engagement manipulation, coordinated false reports, or evasion through alternate accounts.
  • Cheating or interference with picks, rankings, leagues, results, reports, accounts, rate limits, or technical/safety controls.
  • Real-money wagering, entry fees, prizes, payment demands, settlement tracking, debt collection, or solicitation tied to Cage Rivals results. Fantasy Credits have no cash value and may not be used to organize or settle real-world value.
  • Content or conduct whose primary purpose is to make Cage Rivals a place for pornography, threats, bullying, anonymous abuse, or other objectionable use.

Avatars and profile identity

Use an avatar and display name you have the right to use. Do not use sexually explicit, graphically violent, hateful, deceptive, infringing, or privacy-invading images. Do not pose as another player, fighter, league official, publisher, Cage Rivals administrator, or public figure.

Automated avatar moderation helps screen uploads but can make mistakes. An image passing an automated check does not make it compliant, and a rejected image may be appealed through cagerivalsapp@gmail.com.

Messages, privacy, and blocking

Before sending a message, consider whether you would say it in a moderated league setting. Do not share a direct message publicly without a legitimate safety/legal reason and appropriate redaction. Blocking is a safety boundary; do not evade it through another account, league, or person.

Display names, league names and descriptions, league-chat messages, direct messages, and optional messages shared with news articles pass through a rules-based Cage Rivals server filter before storage. User text is not sent to an AI provider for this filtering. The filter is not continuous human monitoring, can make mistakes, and cannot guarantee that harmful content will be prevented before delivery. Use in-app tools and contact cagerivalsapp@gmail.com for help.

Message-specific reporting and service-wide blocking are available through the app's applicable message and player controls. Misusing those controls to harass, evade a block, or submit knowingly false reports violates these Guidelines.

Reporting

Report a specific message, profile, avatar, league, or behavior through the closest in-app Report action. Include the category and enough context for a review; do not repost prohibited content unnecessarily.

If someone is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services. Cage Rivals is not an emergency service. For suspected child exploitation, also use the reporting channel available in your country.

Knowingly false, retaliatory, or mass-coordinated reports violate these Guidelines. A good-faith report is not a violation simply because we reach a different decision.

How we enforce

We consider the content, context, severity, target, user history, credible risk, and applicable law. Actions may include:

  • Removing or redacting content.
  • Warning a user or limiting messages, avatars, leagues, or other features.
  • Removing league access.
  • Temporarily suspending or permanently deleting an account.
  • Preserving restricted evidence or contacting authorities when reasonably necessary for safety or law.

Severe conduct may result in immediate action without a prior warning. Repeated lower-level violations may lead to stronger action. League commissioners may manage league membership but do not replace Cage Rivals safety enforcement and do not receive automatic access to private direct messages.

Moderation decisions do not change official scoring, matchup, ranking, title, or Fantasy Credit rules unless the underlying account or league becomes ineligible under the published game rules.

Appeals

You may appeal an enforcement decision through cagerivalsapp@gmail.com within 30 days after the decision. Identify the decision, explain the relevant context, and do not include unrelated personal information. A reviewer who was not the original decision-maker should handle an appeal when staffing permits. We aim to provide a result within 30 days after receiving a complete appeal. If safety, legal process, or a complex investigation requires longer, we will provide a status update when reasonably possible.

Changes

We may update these Guidelines as Cage Rivals, law, or safety risks change. We will post a new effective date and provide additional notice or obtain renewed agreement when required.
